Health well-being for employees

With our health policy, we want to create a healthy framework in the workplace. We offer our employees several initiatives that can be used as the individual wishes and needs. This includes access to office bicycles, massage by a professional, healthy food in the canteen and ongoing health checks.

Absence due to illness

We keep an eye on our employees' absence due to sickness, as we also consider it a sign of how the physical and mental well-being is among our employees. Our goal is for absence due to sickness to be lower than the Financial Sector Employer Association's statement for the entire insurance industry.




Stress prevention

The number of people who are reported sick due to stress is generally increasing in Danish society. We also see this development among our own employees. Therefore, we have several initiatives that must both prevent initial stress symptoms and take care of the employees who are affected by stress.
 
As part of the prevention of stress and other illnesses, all Topdanmark's employees are offered a health check during working hours every other year. It focuses on mental, social and physical health, both inside and outside the workplace. In addition, all employees can receive anonymous stress counselling from experienced psychologists. In the event of severe and prolonged stress, we can offer an individually tailored course of treatment as part of the employee's health insurance.




Sport- and social clubs

At Topdanmark we want to support the health and well-being for our employees. We have several different clubs for employees to join, focusing on bringing colleagues together through common interests. These clubs are driven by employees for employees.

Among others, we have a riding club, a fishing club, a diving club, a social club, and an art club.  




Prevention of lifestyle diseases

Since 2016, employees at risk of getting lifestyle diseases have been offered an individual health course, My Health. Each course typically lasts 3-4 months. The courses have proven to give good results in long-term and sustainable lifestyle changes.
 
When we work with health, we do so based on Sustainable Development Goal 3.4 By 2030, early mortality due to non-communicable diseases must be reduced by a third through prevention and treatment, and mental health and well-being must be promoted.
